Achilles Tendon Problems
Are you suffering from an Achilles tendon problem? The Achilles tendon connects the heel bone to the calf muscle. If you overuse this muscle through repetitive motion you might develop an injury in the tendons, known as both Achilles tendonitis and Achilles tendonosis. Athletes and people who have a flattened foot arch often develop the condition. Pain and tenderness are symptoms that might indicate Achilles tendon problems. Treatment options might include oral medications, physical therapy, relaxing the foot, and maybe orthotics. Your doctor might recommend surgery if necessary.
